MOTION GRAPHICS
Being proficient in Adobe After Effects has enabled me to create lower-thirds, intro/outro bumpers, and animated assets. Any iconography you may see was done by a designer or taken from a stock library.
SUPER BOWL
LIVESTOCK AD
I wanted to incorporate classic football elements—like “X’s and O’s”—so I designed them as a transition asset throughout the video. The client requested a high volume of information, so I leaned more into masking animations rather than kinetic typography, which helped make the video more readable.
POLICY PROCESS
This project presented a challenge due to the complexity of the subject matter. It required assistance from the design team to help develop icons that clearly represented key terms and concepts. Including video elements into the animation helped clarify and communicate the process more effectively.
WHAT IS IFB?
This animated video is driven by fast-paced kinetic typography. Inspired by Apple's, “Don't Blink” campaign, I embraced a rapid reveal of words to garner energy and momentum. Being intentional with the dynamic movement allowed me to emphasize key phrases, that stood out with impact.
COLLEGIATE
After reading the script for this requested animated video. I knew I had to have a repetitive animation to show a new person being introduced. Iconography may not be consistent in this video due to budgetary issues.
FARM BUREAU
The Loading Zone was an ongoing project started in the Fall of 2017 produced by students at the Ball State Digital Corps in partnership with the university’s PBS affiliate, WIPB. The project consists of a series of short animated episodes designed to teach younger children about different types of technology. I was an animator for this series where I worked entirely in Adobe After Effects and received the assets and illustrations from our design team.
